Select Responsibilities
Play a vital role in the corporate Process Design & Development Team.
Provide technical expertise, project management, and leadership in designing, developing, and implementing process solutions for manufacturing plants.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of heat treatment processes, such as carburizing, hardening, and metallurgy
Provide support for new plant/product/process start-ups worldwide and engage in continuous improvement activities at existing manufacturing facilities.
Develop, apply, and implement advanced technologies and processes within manufacturing plants and supply chains.
Propose investment ideas and plans for new business initiatives (thermal treatment or new processes)
Lead continuous improvement projects
Qualifications:
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required (Manufacturing, Engineering, or related)
Experience in heat treat process development, including carburizing, hardening, tempering, etc., and their deployment.
Knowledge of some or all of the following: Heat Treat (carburizing, hardening, metallurgy), Thermal, Ferrous Metallurgy, Material & Hardness, Material Characterization
Process Engineering experience
Desired experience with bearing components (rings, rollers) - not required
Strong understanding of ferrous metallurgy and metallurgical inspection methods.
Strong understanding of thermal treatment and metalworking processes, capable of specifying, ordering, and implementing the required manufacturing equipment for both capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Up to 25% domestic and some international travel to new and existing plants (and suppliers)
