Essential Functions:
Research, evaluate, develop, and test radar systems and subsystems involving GHz RF circuits, FPGAs, Microprocessors, and mixed signal data converters.
Work with external customers, distributors, vendors, or suppliers to initiate new designs and solve problems.
Troubleshoot and investigate customer trouble reports on fielded prototype systems; determine root causes and generate design improvements to eliminate failure points.
Design, build, and document test setups, test cables, and test procedures for verification of radar systems and subsystems.
Create and update documents for new and existing designs in all phases of the product lifecycle.
Provide engineering assistance to internal teams and external customers.
Demonstrates support for company culture in their daily actions.
Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the divisions quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
Education & Experience:
Experienced engineer with 3+ years of career experience and bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, 1+ years' experience and master's degree in electrical engineering, or experience in lieu of education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience in PCB/PCA ECAD (preferably Altium) design, simulation, manufacturing, and testing
Proficiency with electrical lab equipment; oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzer, and data acquisition systems required.
Proficiency with electrical lab equipment; spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzer, and signal generators highly desired.
RF design experience is preferred but not required.
Comfortable working in a hands-on lab environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, leadership staff, and customers.
Self-motivated individual that works effectively with minimal supervision.
Furthers knowledge of profession through continued education.
Provides mentorship by sharing experiences with less experienced engineers.
Must meet eligibility requirements for access to government classified information.
