My client is an employee-owned company with over 60 years of experience providing consulting services and technology innovation to federal, state, and local agencies as well as nonprofit and commercial organizations. They offer world-class digital communications systems and engineering services that meet the stringent requirements of the DoD and are flexible to support the diverse needs of civilian agencies and the private sector. At the same time the are involved in updating their legacy intercom product and are actively seeking to develop a next generation product that will utilize COTS technology to make a secure network/cloud aware communications switch. The Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple integrated communications systems projects for the DoD.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of projects.
Considerable familiarity of the technical scope involved and the project objectives as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
Performs tasks central to program progress including project scope creation, scheduling, budgeting, action item tracking and resource management.
Coordinates internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure product quality, engineering specification and on-time delivery.
Oversees internal processes to enhance product flow and lean operation.
Leads miscellaneous engineering, contracts, and quality assurance tasks.
Manages and communicates ongoing changes in tasks, goals, and performance.
Participates in client meetings, contract finalization, and development of requirements and specifications.
Manages project budget to reach revenue, cost, and profit targets.
Assigns project objectives and monitor progress.
Oversees project plans and facilitates resolution of all issues to reach project goal
Works closely with upper management to make sure that the scope and direction of the project is on
schedule.
Solves a full range of complex project related issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline.
Masters degree in business or management is desired.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
8+ years relevant experience in engineering project management.
Prior experience in DoD and related government agency programs is a plus.
Stakeholder management experience, specifically on the client side.
Must have in-depth professional-level knowledge and strong independent judgement.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
Microsoft Project, Deltek or similar project management software experience is a plus.
Must be a US Person under ITAR and EAR and can qualify for a Secret clearance.
