Job description:

We are searching for an Inertial Instrument engineer experienced in electro-mechanical, optical, MEMS and advanced solid state accelerometer and gyroscope design and development.
The ideal candidate should have expertise in developing error models, and have the ability to translate system level performance requirements into instrument and sub-component design specifications.
You should also be able to support development of system design concepts through knowledge of instrument performance characteristics and have an understanding of navigation augmentation sensors and aiding.
You will also will be expected to support proposal development and new business initiatives.

Qualifications:
You should have a Masters or a PhD degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics or related electro-mechanical/control system discipline.
Direct experience with novel and emerging technologies that offer significant advances over the current state-of-the art in design, fabrication, assembly, miniaturization and integration is a plus.
The individual must be highly self-motivated and must thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are a necessity.
