The Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in manufacturing is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team in Windsor, Ontario. This role reports directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating quality systems throughout the organization.

What Youll Be Responsible For:

  • Establishing and assessing various quality control systems including PPAP, APQP, PFMEA requirements, etc
  • Managing projects related to process certification, audits, and reviews
  • Working with cross-functional teams to assess the product from design, assembly, inspection, and manufacturing
  • Maintaining control plans and promoting an automated approach to reduce scrap parts and rework
  • Assisting with designs for new programs
  • Creating databases to perform comparison analysis
  • Suggesting improvements for key manufacturing processes
  • Analyzing KPI data and identifying root cause analysis for any quality issues
  • Reviewing previous audit results to determine future risk mitigations and corrective countermeasures
  • Optimizing quality methods and providing suggestions on cost reduction methods where applicable
Qualifications:

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in Aerospace
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Machine Shop Environment
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, CATIA, etc.
  • Previous experience with CNC Machining
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP
  • Experience with root cause tools such as Six Sigma, PFMEA and Lean Manufacturing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Complimentary Experience:

  • Ability to lead while managing competing priorities and deadlines
  • ASQ certification would be considered a strong asset
  • Progressive leadership experience
