This employer is assisting a long-established Ag Equipment Retailer seeking a Field Service Technician to cover a territory located in the state of Minnesota. The ideal candidate will have field service experience with Ag Equipment and a desire to work independently. This Technician will provide support for all Ag equipment sold by the company by servicing equipment off-site. When not working off-site, Technician may spend a week here or there working in the company shop. Additional duties to include:
- Providing field service in a timely, courteous manner by diagnosing and repairing all systems contained on equipment represented
- Communicating directly with equipment owners, operators and management to provide expert field service with minimum of comebacks
- Ordering and installing all parts and supplies required for equipment repairs and post work orders
- Operating and repairing precision and product application systems
- Utilizing hand, power and pneumatic tools properly
- Completing and submitting all required service-oriented documents in a timely fashion
- Using and maintaining all manuals, schematics and electronic media provided by company
- Reading and interpreting schematics and applying this knowledge
- Maintaining service truck, both mechanically and cosmetically
- Functioning day-to-day within company-mandated safety guidelines
- Maintaining all parts, supplies, tools and safety equipment in the truck
- Adhering to all DOT rules and regulations
- Employer will also consider an Auto Mechanic who grew up on a farm and who has operated farm equipment.

Qualifications:

- A A S degree or Equivalent Training and experience with Ag Equipment Repair
- Ag background preferred
- Basic experience with electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, welding, schematic reading, electronic service tool computer use and interpretation
- Experience with air conditioning repair also beneficial
- Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines a definite plus
- Air conditioning service experience beneficial
- Solid computer usage skill set
- Customer-service focused with strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiar with EPA rules for disposal of hazardous materials generated during service of Ag Equipment
- Valid Driver License
- Ability to work some weekend and after-hour service calls
