Dairy Manager (KH-10088)

Job description:

A large dairy operation located in Texas is searching for an experienced Dairy Manager to oversee their operation. The Dairy Manager must be hands-on who has a calm personality, who is excellent with cows and crew. Must have excellent leadership / motivational skills to lead dairy team to be productive and motivated. The employer is looking for someone to oversee Parlor, Feeding, Hospital, Reproduction, and calves. Must be able to see possible problems and correct them before they become a bigger issue. Will be responsible for managing inventory and ordering supplies and medications. Must have strong experience with herd health, reproduction, nutrition, and youngstock. This is an organic dairy. Organic experience is not required, but must be willing to learn. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Dairy uses Dairy Comp and Feed Watch.

Qualifications:

- Dairy Experience (Organic experience a plus or willing to learn)
