Job description:

A mid-size dairy in Idaho is searching for an organized, responsible Assistant Herdsman for their operation. The Assistant Herdsman will work in all areas of the dairy. This employer is searching for someone who is experienced with Herd Health and breeding and who will follow procedures and protocols. Ability to create SOP and follow procedures that are in place. Prefer someone who is computer literate with strong record keeping skills. Milking, feeding, and nutrition knowledge is a plus. Dairy uses DHI Plus and EZ Feed.

Qualifications:

- Herd health experience
- Breeding experience
- Feed / nutrition knowledge a plus
- Calf / youngstock experience
- Milking experience a plus
- Computer skills
- Record keeping skills
