Assistant Manager (KH-10214)

Job description:

A large dairy operation located in Wisconsin is searching for a hands-on Assistant Manager. This position is responsible for supervising employees, scheduling, and training. This position will work alongside the dairy manager to help oversee the supervision of 2 herdsmen, a feeder, milkers and other crew members. The Assistant Manager must be willing to follow protocols, read feed bunks, walking pens, work with fresh and sick cows. Knowledgeable of cow health, reproduction, and dairy software programs. The Assistant Manager will work with the veterinarian and nutritionist. There are no inventory or purchasing responsibilities, but will be responsible for checking deliveries and reviewing bills to ensure all items are received. The ability to speak Spanish and use ultrasound is a plus.
