Job description:

A large dairy operation located in Colorado is searching for a General Manager for their facility. This employer is looking for a candidate with Upper Management skills to oversee the daily operation of their facility. The General Manager will oversee department teams including: Herd Health, Reproduction (AI Breeding, Embryo Transfers), Feeding, Outside Operations, Shipping, Manure Management, Office, Trucking, Equipment/Shop, Capital Improvements, and Expansions. Will also oversee all employee relations including Hiring, firing, work and task scheduling, training, coaching and encouraging employees. Will contribute to the team effort, accomplishing results as needed. Other responsibilities include overseeing record keeping of Herd and Feed managers. The facility uses Dairy Comp 305 and EZ Feed programs. Must have Excellent Customer service skills and will be responsible for building the company's image.

Qualifications:

- Strong Dairy Background
- Strong Management skills
- Nutrition and Feeding knowledge
- Animal Husbandry skills
- Capital Improvement experience preferred
- Excellent people skills
- Record keeping and inventory experience
- Spanish a plus
- Experience with Dairy Comp 305 or similar software
- Large herd management experience
- Strong background with youngstock preferred
