Herdsman / Working Couple (KH-9503)

Job description:

An organic dairy located in Iowa is searching for a Herdsman or Working Couple. This operation utilizes robotic milkers and other automated equipment. Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to, overseeing milking herd, vaccinations, identifying and treating sick cows, and record keeping. The ability to AI breed is a plus. Will also be responsible for calf raising which includes giving colostrum and starter mix, bottle feeding new borns, dehorning, and tagging. Other responsibilities include bedding, fetching cows, and cleaning pens.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE CURRENT DAIRY EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION

- Strong Herd Health experience
- AI Breeding experience a plus
- Calf raising experience
- Experience working with Robotic Milkers a plus
