Our client is an established and highly-respected Agronomy retailer and services provider located in Southwestern Minnesota in a nice-sized rural community boasting a population of 5400. They offer their loyal patrons a variety of affordable Ag chemical, fertilizer and seed offerings, soil sampling and custom application services, a state-of-the art Ag chemical warehouse, bulk fuel, tire shop, c-store and excellent customer service. Employees enjoy working in this family-friendly atmosphere where management focuses on helping their employees gain knowledge and training so that they can succeed in their roles. The town offers very good schools, library, hospital, grocery store, Walmart SuperCenter and restaurants. The area is full of historic sites, many parks with nature trails, 18-hole golf course, outdoor recreational area featuring swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball court, basketball court and other outdoor recreational opportunities for adults and children. Also within the area is a state park with lake offering camping, boating, hunting, and fishing opportunities. They are within 1 hour drive of a 23,000 population area and 2.5 hour drive of a major urban area.

This employer is assisting an established Agronomy Sales/Services provider in southwestern Minnesota who is looking to hire a Sales Agronomist. Our client has preference for an individual experienced at Agronomy sales, however, they are also willing to train a good farm individual with outgoing sales personality. Primary duties to include:
- Scouting fields
- Developing field plans for Ag chem, fertilizer and seed products
- Making crop inputs recommendations to area growers
- Providing excellent customer service including trouble-shooting Ag grower complaints or issues
- Developing/Implementing a schedule of making on-farm visits to Ag growers
- Assist Agronomy Manager with implementing marketing programs



- High School diploma or GED required; 2- or 4-year Agronomy or Ag-related degree preferred
- One year or more of Agronomy Sales experience; employer will also train a solid farm individual with outgoing sales personality
- Previous internships or experience crop scouting and identifying pests and weeds
- Good knowledge / understanding of corn, soybeans, sugar beets; possibly wheat
- Experience with current crop protection, fertilizer and seed products
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation
- Class A CDL beneficial
