Our client is an established Ag Services company located in the Midwestern US providing a means of connecting farmers' precision Ag data with knowledge and bias-free recommendations from trusted area Agronomists. They are a "high touch" organization helping farmers to improve their ROI for acres enrolled in their service by utilizing research-based information from a highly experienced agronomic and precision Ag team network.

This employer is currently seeking a Lead Sales Agronomist for a territory located in North Western Ohio.This will be an Ag grower-faced role focused on growing market share through sales, developing solid Ag grower relationships, collaborating with and supporting a team of Precision Field Agronomists to provide superior agronomical recommendations in both traditional agronomic principles with a strong focus in sub-level field environment with regard to precision Ag/digital products. Our client seeks an individual who is a PROVEN SALESPERSON, a relationship-builder who has a passion for Agriculture and ultimately, for serving the Ag grower. Our client also has a strong preference for an individual who currently has a strong Ag Grower network in place.
The ideal candidate will be performance-driven with a focus on growth, collaboration, teamwork, as well as a dedication to a true systems approach to agronomy that offers specific Ag grower management products that extend soil fertility, crop care products, plant growth/development as well as currently available Ag production practices to data management and analytics. Examples of primary responsibilities are:

- Developing new prospects through existing Ag Grower relationships as well as prospecting to generate/uncover new opportunities to drive acquisition of Ag grower customers and acres to exceed Sales objectives
- Implementing/Overseeing full sales cycle
- Lending support during year-end reviews in terms of re-contracting acres with existing Ag growers
- Closely collaborating with and supporting team of local Precision Field Agronomists to support the Sales of client product offerings
- Facilitating onboarding of Ag growers and transitioning to long-term servicing by Precision Field Agronomist team
- Developing/Implementing sales strategies within defined market territory
- Maintaining good communication with Precision Field Agronomist team, Ag grower customers and senior management team



- 4-year Agronomy, AgBus, Agronomy or other Ag-related degree preferred with a minimum 2 years of crop inputs sales experience; employer will also consider individuals with Associates degree and 5 years of related sales experience
- CCA certification or ability to earn within one year of employment
- Knowledge of Crop Inputs and Precision Ag Systems beneficial but not required with proven Sales experience
- Experience selling in an Early-Stage Environment preferred
- Self-directed and performance-driven with strong focus on exceeding goals
- Proven focus for surpassing needs and goals of Ag grower customers
- Solid listening and negotiation skills including comfort in challenging others to help them improve their farming operations
- Excellent communication and computer technology skills
- Current residing in North Western Ohio
- Possess a clean driving record
