HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where you will work closely with the senior test engineer in the support and assistance to senior engineers delivering technical solutions for product offering including interior, exterior, and specialty lamps for automotive applications. You will be gaining exposure to a dynamic portfolio of electronic products in addition to working in a fast paced startup mentality organization.
You'll provide laboratory technical support and assistance to engineers, and others involved in lighting tests
Perform testing following procedures and/or customer specifications
Review daily, DVP&R and track test progress and report out testing status, interface with validation and test engineers to execute validation testing for new or current products
Complete technical reports, document work activities, and maintain lab in clean, safe, proper working condition
Maintain/organize assigned workload and meet specific due dates
Assist with maintenance of laboratory records and documentation
Prepare and maintain measuring equipment in good working order
Prepare test samples, with the use of hand and power tools
Prepare and maintain test equipment, including the running of thermal chambers, power supplies, optical equipment
Participate in internal meetings as required to support projects
Perform other duties as requested
YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES
With an Associate's degree or college level coursework in the field of technology, electronical, or mechanical, you have at least 3+ years of hands-on experience using testing equipment Thermal Chambers, Multimeters, DMM in any setting
You have some knowledge of electrical and electronical theory
You are comfortable working independently within a team environment and comfortable with demanding timeframes
You have proven experience with measurement instrumentation Multimeters, Power supplies
You have familiarity and understanding of standards, customer specifications and validation plans
Able to read, analyze, interpret, and follow standards and technical procedures
Strong technical writing skills and working knowledge of MS Office products
Familiarity with data acquisition, data entry and throughput
Mechanical aptitude to work with electrical and hand tools
Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
Scheduled for Monday through Friday in office but must have ability to work overtime and weekends if necessary
Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
Willing to travel as required (< 5%)
