SALES ENGINEER AUTOMATION - Elko, Winnemucca in Nevada to Boise, Twin Falls, Burley, Ketchum in Idaho

The Sales Engineer (Industrial Automation) is responsible for the promotion/sales, internal and external technical support, and solutions-based selling of products in our Technology Segment to include: Industrial Field Instrumentation; all components including Primary Control Element, Control Instrumentation and Final Control Element. These products are sold to mines, food processing plants, mineral processing plants, utility plants, industrial plants in their territory. The Sales Engineer (Industrial Automation) will develop, implement and execute annual business plans to increase market share with active product portfolios in addition to new product launches. This position will need to continuously analyze and understand customer requirements to remain competitive. Additionally, the Sales Engineer (Industrial Automation) develops and implements marketing, promotion and training programs with companys selling partners, to support new product launches and identify engineered solutions for customer applications and migration solutions for legacy products. Must be skilled in making B to B Sales Calls. We are not looking for someone to manage other Salesmen.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Achieving key results in both sales and margin for assigned product(s)
  • Develops annual sales forecast
  • Participates in cross functional organizational meetings, as required, to educate others and maintain product awareness/knowledge
  • Defines and identifies target accounts
  • Provides technical support to customer
  • Identifies top competitors and obtains competitive sales briefs to stay relevant
  • Works collaboratively with management to identify competitors and develop annual plans
  • Conduct sales presentations to customers

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferred), or Associates Degree with a minimum of 2-4 years Technical/Industrial Automation Sales experience: Field Instrumentation Control Valves
  • Familiarity with the Industrial Automation product(s), application and associated standards
  • Previous strategic planning experience to include competitive Market Analysis is preferred
  • Ability to work cross functionally across regions and functional areas within the company
  • Extremely motivated, organized, time management skills, drug free, no criminal record

Qualifications:
