The Opportunity:

Our client is a global manufacturing company who is looking for a Director of Sales to join their collaborative team in Windsor, Ontario.
The Director of Sales reports directly to the General Manager, and is responsible for creating new opportunities to ensure that the companys sales targets are being achieved.

What Youll Be Responsible For:

- Developing and overseeing the companys revenue targets and working cross-functionally with the Sales team, Program Managers, and Estimators to ensure quoted jobs are being established.

- Providing guidance and oversight to all team members and ensuring that daily, weekly, monthly, and annual targets are being met.

- Reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on all department proposals and quotes prior to implementation.

- Designing, implementing, and coaching on operational strategies for the Program Management and Estimating teams.

- Developing new customer opportunities for the Sales team and continually building strong rapport with current customers.

- Travelling to existing/new clients to assess their current and future organizational needs.

- Providing technical assistance and product education to team members when needed.

- Coaching and supporting the Sales team, Program Managers, and Estimators to ensure the development of current and future team


The Ideal Candidate:

- Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Marking, Sales, Engineering, or other related field.

- 7+ years of experience working in a sales environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

- Demonstrated experience with Business Development, Senior level leadership, and achieving sales targets.

- Previous technical experience in molding such as injection molding, compression molding, etc.

- Additional knowledge in tooling and gauges would be a strong asset.

Complimentary Experience:

- Masters Degree in Business Administration would be considered an asset.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all areas of operations.

- Collaborative and team-oriented with a coaching mentality.

- Ability to approach potential challenges proactively with strong problem-solving capabilities.
