Job Description

Overview:
To ensure that the goals, objectives, and performance of the Quality Systems Group are in line with company objectives, as agreed upon with company leadership. To provide leadership and direction for the development, implementation, performance and continuous improvement of the Quality System and quality team.
Considerable initiative and independent judgment are expected. Duties include, but not limited to:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Communications
Provide associates clear, concise, and timely feedback and direction through appropriate Performance Management System tools.
To ensure direction is clear and ownership is achieved of the group goals
To provide guidance and expertise in facilitating problem containment and resolution

Management
Manage the Quality Department (Including but not limited to: Daily Quality Data and Countermeasure Activities, SC List Management, FMEA Facilitation, MSA, Control Plans, Inspection Instructions, Gage Control)
Ensure any specific Customer requirements are understood, agreed to, and met or exceeded
Develop and manage strategies for assuring both MSA and process stability and capability are achieved.
Facilitate and track the Problem Solving for Quality issues and ensure systemic root causes are identified, contained, verified, permanently corrected and verified appropriately
Function as the primary Customer Interface on Quality issues and related updates
To be viewed as an expert solution facilitator
To be recognized and trusted as a leader in client care, exceeding expectations in Quality

Organizational
Ensure the Supplier Quality Interface is data driven, timely and appropriate
Ensure the Quality Management Systems are monitored and maintained both through internal auditing and external auditing and certification
Ensure quality record retention is appropriate
To ensure all goals are met and/or exceeded as agreed in the QS portion of the BPD strategy

Planning
Create and implement a World Champion Quality Strategy

Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
Exposure to and experience with Lean concepts and practices
Communicate orally with individuals and groups
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task on complex issues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Exposure to and experience with Lean concepts and practices
  • Communicate orally with individuals and groups
