ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities:
- Partner with executive team, Senior Credit Officers, Market Presidents, and other leaders to guarantee Consumer, Business Banking, and SBA strategy, objectives, and performance are aligned;
- Lead execution of Consumer, Business Banking, and SBA strategy and sales process to consistently meet or exceed growth and profitability goals;
- Lead and provide direction to Retail, Business Banking, and SBA sales team; preserve a cooperative work environment and inspire for service excellence and responsiveness; and support in the management of employee performance, growth, retention, and attracting talent;
- Develop and augment processes and tools to safeguard team behaviors, activities, pipeline, and closed business will constantly achieve acquisition and retention expectations;
- Develop and execute a thorough Business Banking, Consumer, and SBA strategic plan including procedures, structure, policy, sales and profitability;
- Create and preserve asset quality for the Banks Consumer, Business Banking, and SBA loan portfolios;
- Uphold compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures, with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) obligations;
- Identify problem loans and work with the appropriate parties to ascertain appropriate means of resolution and communication to the suitable parties;
- Partner with the Chief Banking Officer and Finance/Accounting functions to create pricing for all Consumer, Business Banking and SBA products to guarantee market competitiveness and Bank profitability;
- Approve or decline loan requests within individual authority or propose to the appropriate level of authority for approval;
- Verify, develop and validate sound internal controls are established including operational policies, procedures and systems to safeguard compliance with regulatory obligations;
- Create and support new and existing processes and products, with implementation, testing and workflow;
- Actively uphold the ongoing development of a culturally diverse workforce;
- Develop and maintain Centers of Influence (COIs) within the industry independently and concurrently with bank relationship managers.

REQUIREMENTS
- Possess mature management and sales management skills as exhibited by confirmable success in banking and/or sales management with extensive comprehension of business laws related to consumer and business lending.
- Strong improvement and product development proficiencies, including outstanding analytical, problem-solving, organizational and critical thinking skills, joined with a sales and goal-oriented temperament and the highest levels of professionalism.
- Eight (8) or more years of business banking/SBA sales and operations experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Bachelors degree in business or finance from an accredited four-year school required.
- Possess robust in assessment and plan development with the capacity to execute.
- Confirmed leadership abilities including the ability to coach, direct and supervise employees.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Has developed creative, forward-thinking, entrepreneurial traits within a financial services work environment.

POSITION SUMMARY
As the Senior Credit Officer - Small Business, you are accountable for management, strategy, training, administration and oversight of all aspects of Business Banking, Consumer Lending, and Government Guaranteed Lending/Small Business Administration efforts. This opportunity will construct, direct and safeguard the sales and service, products, process, human resources and technology are enhanced to deliver upon the division vision and goals. This position is also answerable with growing and retaining bank revenue through the origination of loans, special assets/collections, deposits, and generation of fee income on an annual basis, as well as cross-selling ancillary products of the bank to customers and potential clients as fitting.
This leader will be fully accountable for creating policy and procedures for the credit vertical within business and consumer credit decisioning. They will also mentor/train current and new employees, delivering reports to Executive Management, and safeguard compliance with all bank policies and regulatory as necessitated. As a senior representative of the Bank, Senior Credit Officerwill present a positive and professional impression at all times and be open to progression and expectations as communicated by bank management.
