Ph.D. Immunoassay Senior Scientist - Drug Safety Testing

Job description:

We are actively seeking a Ph.D. Associate Director / Senior Scientist - Immunology to join our Montreal client's team as they continue to expand their reach in drug testing and drug safety efforts, servicing the worldwide biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. This is a very senior, responsible role. You will be supervising 3 to 4 dozen scientists and technologists, carrying out half a dozen projects simultaneously. This role reports to a VP and requires proven, strong leadership background as well as a PhD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

GLP development of new methods, objectives, and strategies for cellular and immunology testing and validation.

Sample analysis supervision in a multidisciplinary lab setting.

Data analysis, report and protocol writing responsibility re company SOPs.

Laboratory staff / team and project management - up to 4 dozen people, in tandem with departmental management / stakeholders.

Pharmaceutical customer communication.

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS:

Ph.D. Biology/ related.

Minimum 8 - 10 years' leadership background in the GLP biotech /pharma world - used to managing 35 to 40 people - analysts, scientists, research associates, teams, number of simultaneous projects, taking responsibility for outcomes. Interacting with clients

Hands-on experience running immunoassays related to cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, and protein / DNA / RNA quantification.

Familiar with genetic toxicology.

Work autonomously, make decisions, bear responsibility, exhibit good organizational, problem solving, time management, and analytical skills in a fast paced, changing environment.

Strong English reading and writing communication skills. French great asset.
