A state-of-the-art instrument and consumables company selling primarily to thehospitalclinical diagnostic and core labs has
an exciting opportunity for a Toronto based Sales Specialist - diagnostic instruments, consumables, and reagents.
Ph.D. and experience selling to Toronto hospital core labs essential. Emphasis on new account generation and retention or existing customers.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate new business while retaining existing major clients.
- Maintain multiple levels of strategic contacts within these accounts.
- Deal with quotations, RFP's, contracts, and tenders.
- Attend and represent company at meetings and shows.
- Provide forecasts and reports using Salesforce.com.
TERRITORY:
- Downtown Toronto and parts of Ontario.
- Home office based, with local travel to customer sites.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ph.D. or [Register to View] with appropriate experience .
- 5 years of hands-on successful business development / sales experience, preferably in the niche Toronto Hospital Clinical Lab Diagnostics Laboratory sector.
- List of key personal contacts / decision makers in the GTA.
- Able to make an impact, and handle long, 2 to 3 year sales cycles.
- Outstanding sales and bus dev track record.
- Proactive, with strong leadership and technical skills.
- Strong technical scientific background.
- Excellent customer relationship management.
- Experience with MS software.
- Any [Register to View] experience an asset.
- Living in the Greater Toronto area.
