HEALTH AND SAFETY COORDINATOR
Charleston-Mattoon Area
We are actively recruiting for a Safety Coordinator for a growing manufacturing plant in the Charleston-Mattoon area.

This position will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. It will involve collaborating with various departments, implementing safety programs, conducting training sessions, and monitoring workplace practices to minimize accidents, injuries, and health hazards. The Safety Coordinator will play a vital role in promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:

Safety Program Development and Implementation

Training and Education

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment

Incident Reporting and Investigation

Regulatory Compliance

Safety Audits/Record Keeping

Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial Engineering OR equivalent experience

Internship or 1-2 years of safety experience preferably in Manufacturing.

A desire to grow your career in the Safety field

Qualifications:

A 4- year degree in occupational safety along with internship experience OR will look at no degree and some experience in industrial safety

Should enjoy working with employees and providing safety training and review. Should also be detail-oriented.
