Job Title: Director of Home Center Sales
Purpose:

The role of the Director of Sales is to consistently achieve desired business results, positively influence Home Channel customers to develop and facilitate the continued growth of the internal Home Channel Project Team. The responsibilities range from leading, motivating and training the internal Home Channel Project Team. The Director of Sales duties are managing the integration of the internal support Team and the Project Team with various Home Channel customer support team. This includes product presentation and management, project management, claims and returns and pricing management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Grow sales and builds relationships with external customers.
Work closely and set strategies the with China sourcing, marketing, operations, customer service teams
Flooring Industry knowledge with the ability to motivate and lead multiple groups.
Must have a clear understanding of internal/external procedures to lead the assistance of any Home Channel customer needs or problems.
In depth knowledge and understanding of the flooring industry. An understanding of how the flooring process at the Home Channel level functions, and the role the company plays in this process.
In depth knowledge of the management hierarchy at Home Channel customers and what functions those management roles play.
Should possess a full understanding of the Home Channel Customers requirements for project and product life cycle management.
The ability to demonstrate the complete job function, selling, order processing, claim processing and communication with internal support teams, as well-as problem solving.
Must set the pace for the accomplishment of corporate goals and objectives through positive reinforcement, strategic thinking, and the development of KPIs/POS and purchase numbers. The consistent management and measuring of Home Channel Sales results.
Must be an effective communicator and have mastered the selling and project management at all levels to be an effective "coach."
Capacity to assume significant executive responsibilities over time.

Requirements:
10 years of successful Home Center sales experience.
10 years of experience calling on Home Depot
Willing to work out of two offices


Education and Experience:

Four Year College Degree
Bachelors degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or relevant field
