Sr. Automation Engineer - Power Generation Projects

Our client is a leading global system integration firm that has been
providing automation solutions for critical process and safety
applications to a diverse world-wide client base within multiple
industries. They are a leader in control systems integration services
across all markets.

Position location: Dallas, TX preference but could be Houston, TX

Description: Sr. Automation Resource Engineer will have strong working
knowledge and several years of experience with combustion control
systems and burner management systems that are applied to the Utility
Power Industry along with large power & auxiliary boilers that are used
in a wide variety of process plants. The candidate needs to have a
strong working knowledge with Rockwell Automation software and PLCs
along with Emerson DeltaV platforms. Knowledge of Triconex Platforms is
a plus. Must be knowledgeable of NFPA-85 guidelines.

Qualifications:

Requirments:

- BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

- 15 years minimum of related control systems experience

- Strong knowledge of NFPA guidelines that apply to Combustion Control
Systems and Burner Management Systems design and applications

- Proven experience in effectively programming and integration of the
following control system platforms

- Allen Bradley Logix PLCs

- Emerson Delta V

- Invensys Triconex Platforms (a plus)

- Proven experience in effectively programming and configuration of
the following HMI platforms listed below

- Rockwell Automation Factory Talk SE & ME, Plant PAX (Important)

- Emerson Delta V (Important)

- Wonderware System Platform (Archestra) and Intouch

- Experience with engineering design programs such as AutoCad,
Microsoft Visio

- Knowledge of HMI and control systems communication networks
including related hardware such as Ethernet switches and media
converters, various types of communication protocols and media that
are applied in redundant and simplex architecture designs.

- Work autonomously while cultivating a team environment with fellow
automation engineers and designers

- Excellent troubleshooting skills

- Effective at communicating with management, customers and vendors

- Knowledge of OSI PI and other Historian packages a plus.

- Experience with client/server architectures including virtualization
with VMWare is a plus

- ISA 84 Certifications for SIS and BMS applications is a benefit
