Job Descritpion

The Comonomers Team (Technology Manager and Operations Manager) is responsible for the implementation of the goals and strategy developed in tandem with the Business Unit.The successful candidate will also have prime responsibility to develop and coordinate the capital project budgeting for the unit.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the Process Improvement for the Comonomers business
  • Manage the engineering aspects of maintaining environmental compliance of the operating unit
  • Manage the technology and IP aspects of the License Agreements and is the primary technical interface with the Licensor(s)
  • Provide strong technical knowledge of the assigned unit. Develop the technical strategy for the business
  • Maintain knowledge of unit performance and technologies
  • Coordinate the appropriate sharing of best practices with similar business units within Companys International Operations
  • Identify and resolve technical operating / reliability problems effectively and efficiently
  • Supervise/ manage a team of engineers such that typical assignments can be driven to completion:
    • Develop and / or execute projects & assignments per company processes, policies and procedures within schedule & cost budgets
    • Understands how and who to work with to complete an assignment
    • Troubleshoot and solve plant problems
    • Provide technical support to ensure reaching business goals, improve profitability, improve reliability and improve overall operation
  • Develop team members for career advancement
Qualifications:

Formal Education

Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent field preferred

Working Experience

  • 10+ years relevant engineering experience preferred
  • Management / Supervisory experience

Required Personal and Professional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing highly desired, business and/or operations knowledge desired
  • Experience in a PSM and ISO environment preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills with a results oriented commitment
