Job description:

The Production Engineer or Sr Production Engineer will play a critical role in the success of the processing unit area. Provide leadership and innovation to ensure that the unit is run safely and efficiently. This position will communicate with all levels throughout the organization to ensure that targets are met, and daily activities are managed properly.

Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day unit operations
Review daily commercial vs. production plan and capacity and implement daily recommendations to operate at highest quality/productivity
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Support MOC and PSSR processes as needed
Provide input into the capital budget planning process
Execute plant experiments and implement change based on results
Perform EOM financial duties for unit area
Production forecasting
Primary resource for marine dock planning
Operational resource for incident investigations

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Chemical Engineering
5+ years of Production Engineering in Refining, Petrochemicals, or Related
Experience with Process Safety Management
Aspen or Unisim is a plus
Familiarity with plant control systems (DCS) and APC is a plus
Six Sigma/Lean experience preferred
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Must have ability to obtain a TWIC Card
