Job Title: Controller
Location: Moses Lake, WA
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience as a controller, with a background in construction or mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) industries, and hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the company's accounting operations, including maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards.
Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to aid in strategic decision-making.
Manage the monthly and annual closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports to monitor company performance and identify trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Oversee the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
Manage the company's cash flow and forecasting, including monitoring budgets, analyzing variances, and recommending corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Lead and manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred.
10+ years of experience as a controller in the construction or MEP industries.
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and cash flow.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and other accounting software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
