Job Duties:Manage and/or provideproject scoping, value analysis, design phases, administration and technical assistancefor a wide range of facility projects and maintenance operations. Dutiesincludemultiple simultaneous projects, ranging from small, single-discipline to large multi-disciplinary design and construction projects involving both single and multiple-year phasing.
Responsibilities:This position is responsible forproject scoping, data and asset management, design phases (pre-design, schematic design, design development, construction documents), value analysis, and administration for a broad range of facilities and related maintenance operations, including rehabilitation, construction, renovation and re-purposing. Ensures projects meet schedule and budget requirements.
Project work may include, but is not limited to, the following types of structures or facilities: administrative structures, visitor centers, employee housing, lodging, campsites, wastewater systems, potable water systems, communication systems, transportation systems, parking, bus facilities, trails, roads, and bridges. Work includes multiple simultaneous projects, ranging from small, single-discipline to large, multi-disciplinary design and construction projects involving both single and multiple-year phasing, potentially funded from multiple funding sources. Thework will include components requiring creative solutions that balance natural resource and culturalcompliance issues and/or politically sensitive issues.
Provideprofessional guidance based on understanding of industry standards and major principles. Performcontracting officer's representative duties for A&E services and construction contracts. Serve as contracting officer's technical representative on construction projects.
Specialized Experience:
Arctic Engineer or secure arctic engineering course.
Qualifications:
Civil Structrual engineer with focus on structural for an A&E firmactive in commercial, military,and industrialprojects.
