Project Manager

Purpose/Accountabilities:

The project manager will serve as a leader for the project management
team, have the ability to mentor junior project managers, act as the
single point of contact on projects and complete projects in a timely
fashion and within established budgets.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

- Accountable for a portfolio of capital projects, each with a total
installed cost of $5MM and under.

- Works with clients to properly and fully define the project scope.
Develops the project charter, Design Basis Memorandum and Project
Execution Plan as applicable.

- Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing
project budgets to AACE standards; scheduling expenditures;
analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.

- Develops the project schedule in order to meet project needs while
considering resource loading and other external factors.

- Reports project status, needs and risks to the client on a regular
basis.

- Manages the multi-disciplinary project team.

- Conducts timely design, operability and constructability reviews to
identify and address execution issues, project risks and strategies.

- Hosts stage gate review meetings with stakeholders after each stage
in order to secure approval and funding for the next project stage.

- Ensures that projects meet all applicable standards, specifications
and good engineering practices.

- Ensures effective change management and project controls consistent
with the project priorities and objectives.

- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;
reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks;
participating in professional organizations.

- Follow-through on commitments made to others.

- Create and maintain well-organized and professional-looking work
area.

- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred. PMP registration is strongly preferred.
Eligibility for immediate registration is a must. 10 years minimum progressive experience in the industrial construction environment.
Preference will be given to those with oil and gas development, petrochemical or refining experience. Strong background in engineering
project management and implementation of capital projects with a proven track record of delivering projects within schedule and budget constraints. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization,
from hourly employees to senior executives of the company. Proficiency with stage/phase gate engineering practices. Familiarity with CIIs FEL process is desirable.
