My client is a technology leader delivering high-performance fabrics for High Performance Computing (HPC), High Performance Data Analytics (HPDA), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the purpose of delivering interconnect solutions that enable their customers to optimally apply vast computational resources to solve the worlds toughest problems.



As an Electrical Design Engineering Manager,you will direct a team of talented electronic design and test engineers experienced in component, printed circuit board (PCB), and system development, implementation, validation, productization and lifecycle management. Your team will be involved in all aspects of the electronic design from concept through end-of-life.


Management responsibilities:

Lead a growing team of platform/system design engineers, electrical test engineers and lab technicians
Ensure logic design processes excellence
Develop schedules, identify deliverables, and align the team
Set employee expectations, develop team goals, and administer rewards

Design Responsibilities:

Collaborate with ASIC design engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, and marketing to develop Platform level architectures and board level design requirements, schedules, and cost targets
Develop system/board architectures to implement the products
Evaluate and select components to support the design goals
Develop the necessary engineering documentation to support the designs
Develop the design files (schematic entry, FPGA code, source code, etc.) to implement the designs
Collaborate with layout team to implement the designs
Support software engineering to integrate the software
Work closely with verification team to resolve design or test issues during product qualification
Support compliance and regulatory testing
Work with manufacturing moving and supporting the product in production

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
8+ years of system/platform design experience including 4+ years managing a team
Demonstrated strength in digital board design, basic signal integrity, board layout tools, schematic capture tools (ORCAD, Cadence, Mentor Graphics) and electrical testing methodologies
Demonstrated strength with system level debug and determining root cause of technical issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
12+ years of system/platform design experience including 8+ years managing a team
Experience with Cadence* Concept* schematic and Allegro* Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
Experience with board power distribution and Power integrity tools
Experience with FPGAs and programmable logic devices (PLD)
Experience with programming skills in tools such as: C, Visual Basic, Perl, TCL, RTL, etc
Experience with Signal integrity simulation tools
Familiarity with timing analysis and functional simulation
Track record of first-pass success of board and system development projects
