Summary:

The Sales Engineer will be a key member of the sales team that is responsible for all aspects of sales and business development for the companys products.

Responsibilities
Participate in the implementation of the companys sales plan to ensure that the companys sales targets are met.
Work with potential customers to identify their specific requirements and to determine whether the companys products can satisfy those needs.
Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education to potential customers.
Follow up with sales leads in a timely manner to qualify their potential for business.
Search for new customers who might benefit from the companys products and introduce the companys capabilities to them.
Maintain a strong discipline of recording activity with customers and prospects in the companys CRM database.
Manage and maintain the order pipeline in the companys CRM database.
Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the companys products and the applications for which they are used.
Remain knowledgeable about the most current competitors product offerings and technology.
Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
Participate in the identify cation of new product and product improvement opportunities.
Travel, as required, to meet sales targets.

Qualifications:

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in the physical sciences or engineering, or equivalent experience
Some experience in direct sales roles or equivalent
Excellent inter-personal and customer service skills
High level of personal initiative with the ability to work with limited supervision
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and priorities
Willingness to work with many groups, across various departments
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Strong presentation skills
Comfortable with all MS Office software
