Sr. Information Security Specialist (Hybrid)

Job description:

The Information Security Specialist manages the effective development and implementation of information, cyber and physical security policies, guidelines and infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, implement, and monitor strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management programs.
• Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adequately support business goals, objectives and requirements.
• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain the enterprise security infrastructure to include software, hardware, physical and surveillance systems.
• Research and recommend best security practices to achieve stated business objectives, advise on risk assumptions for any variances granted, and provide alternatives to achieve desired end results.
• Perform security audits of new and existing systems and processes to verify compliance with company policy.
• Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches.
• Provide security and technical assistance to systems users to define project needs, benefits and technical strategy, and provide support as solutions are executed, tested, and rolled-out.

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree, with a technical major, such as information or cyber security.
• Advanced degree preferred & 3 or more years of related experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience with risk management, audits, security policies, standards and procedures, documentation, and security awareness.
• Good research skills and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
