Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer to join their Research and Development (R&D) team. As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the concept, design, and development of electronic components and devices. You will work closely with the R&D team, conducting research, designing prototypes, performing engineering analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the concept, design, and development of medical and non-medical components and devices/accessories through initial concept design, engineering analysis, prototyping, risk assessment, and evaluation.
Conduct research, design development, and prototyping of products in accordance with company development standards to meet functional, clinical, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.
Provide technical approval for project and process output to ensure compliance with agreed specifications and all relevant regulatory standards.
Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art new product development, materials, and manufacturing technologies, including intellectual property, and apply them to meet or exceed customer, company, and project needs.
Evaluate and document the feasibility, reliability, and risk of concepts and/or prototypes through engineering testing and analysis, ensuring that product performance, manufacturability, safety, and cost align with customer, regulatory, and production requirements.
Develop timeline costs and resource estimates for development tasks, communicate and report progress to project management, and track compliance to project schedule.
Generate and review design history file documentation in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements throughout the product life cycle to ensure comprehensive documentation of the design.
Collaborate with global sourcing to progress vendor activities, including communication of specifications, development schedules, and tracking, to support prototype or product procurement and assembly.
Deliver manufacturable designs by applying design for manufacture principles and incorporating feedback from Manufacturing Engineers, external suppliers, and other sources.
Collaborate with the quality department and other relevant departments to ensure high product and process quality.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
Relevant professional experience in electronics engineering.
Strong knowledge of electronic component design, development, and testing.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and requirements in the medical and manufacturing industries.
Proficiency in conducting engineering analysis and utilizing prototyping techniques.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and reporting abilities.
