This is an on-site role in Syracuse, NY. Must be at least a US Permanent resident to be considered. We are unable to sponsor at this time.

Work for adynamic and innovative company, well-established with a 100 year-old history in Syracuse, NY. We're seeking a talented and motivated C# Developer with familiarity in code migration.

You will play a crucial role in migrating legacy code from ASP Classic to C#, enabling it to run seamlessly on Windows Server 2019. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your technical skills will have a direct impact on modernizing our software solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to understand the existing ASP Classic codebase and design effective migration strategies to C#.
- Lead the migration process, translating ASP Classic code into maintainable and efficient C# code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging of the migrated code to ensure its reliability and functionality on Windows Server 2019.
- Work closely with the team to identify and address any compatibility issues that arise during the migration process.
- Write and maintain technical documentation related to the migration process, ensuring clear understanding for future maintenance.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a C# Developer.
- Extensive expertise in C# programming language and the .NET framework.
- Basic familiarity with ASP Classic and the ability to interpret the codebase.
- Familiarity with Windows Server 2019 environments and deployment considerations.
- Proficiency in software design principles, patterns, and architecture.
- Strong grasp of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

- Previous involvement in migrating legacy systems to modern technologies.

- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
