Immediate job opening for an experienced Principal Process Engineer (Automation) for a multi-billion dollar 100+ year old global diversified manufacturer of specialty products. Job is in the greater Akron, OH area (Cleveland). Works at HQ with high visibility across the leadership team.

Select Responsibilities
Develop and implement deployment plans for newly developed processes in collaboration with the Advance Process Technology teams and Manufacturing
Play a crucial role in global manufacturing strategy by developing and proposing
Select appropriate technologies for new processes or equipment upgrades.
Guide system development and installation, ensuring smooth integration.
Deliver comprehensive process documentation to the manufacturing plants.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using project management tools.
Plan resources, set milestones, and manage budgets for key projects.
Implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure timely project completion.
Develop and implement capital projects investment proposals to support our business initiatives.
Create compelling business cases and submit Appropriation Requests
Forecast expenditures, track costs, and ensure projects are completed within the approved budget.
Identify and recommend continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes.
Analyze and benchmark alternatives, conduct cost comparisons, and provide recommendations.
Collaborate with manufacturing plants to identify improvement opportunities.
Provide technical support and guidance to other facilities regarding system integration.
Make technical recommendations for manufacturing solutions across the organization.
Foster strong technical relationships with peers and vendors.
Qualifications:
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required (Manufacturing, Industrial, Engineering, or related)
Strong manufacturing, process, and/or automation experience
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as JMP, MATLAB, and SQL.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of process assembly, inspection, metrology, electrical/machine controls, automation, and tool design.
Demonstrated experience in leveraging project management capabilities and driving timely project completion.
Strong engineering and analytical abilities, including root cause problem-solving, capability studies, process modeling, cost estimation, and CAD.
Ability to translate engineering and process knowledge into practical shop floor implementation plans.
Broad understanding of manufacturing operations, including quality systems/requirements, shop floor information systems, and lean practices.
International and domestic travel, averaging 25% of the time throughout the year
