Our recruiting firm has an immediate opening for a Business Unit Controller in Springfield, MO for a multi-billion dollar 100+ year old manufacturer of industrial motion & components, operating in 40 countries. Organization offers the ability to climb the ranks into higher level leadership positions quickly! Position is open due to an internal shift into another role.


Strategic position that reports directly to the BU President ($300M BU, $1.5B Division)

Multi-site responsibility (3 sites in Midwest & 1 Site International)

Select Responsibilities

Hold ultimate responsibility for financial operations, FP&A, product quoting decisions, SOX Compliance, and driving new financials processes and procedures.

Oversees and directs all financial reporting for four manufacturing site locations.

Long-range planning, budget preparation, and supervision of all accounting functions including operations controlling, legal entity ledger closing and reporting, price/volume/mix analysis, quote support, sourcing decisions

Analyzes sales and profit projections against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and meets regularly with functional leaders to drive performance improvement plans

Monitors and advises on customer and platform profitability, pricing and market actions

Manages the development of annual capital business plan as well as monthly capital reporting

Creates, manages, leads, and directs the budget and forecasting process for the business across Sales, Plant Costs, SG&A, Inventory, Working Capital and all other required financial and non-financial data

Oversees the supervision of personnel, work allocation, training, conflict resolution, performance evaluation

Makes recommendations for personnel action and motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance

Directs the operations of the accounting department to produce accurate, timely internal financial statements to global reporting system on a monthly basis

Oversees internal and external audits of records to ensure the accuracy of all accounts and compliance with corporate standards

Key decision maker on product pricing, marketing actions, and customer platform profitability

Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree required; advanced degree strongly desired.

10+ years of financial controlling experience, with at least 5 years in leadership

Must have manufacturing experience with publicly traded organization

Multi-site experience a plus

International experience a plus

Knowledge of government regulations affecting business operations

Strong leadership, vision, communication skills

Ability to be close partner to President of the Business Unit
