IT Manager

LEADERSHIP

- Drive business goals via your leadership of the IT Team.

- Translates the company strategic plan into IT systems and
procedures, articulating this critical link to the company
stakeholders including Senior Management, IT staff and employees.

- Manage, motivate, and develop all staff within the IT group, and
outside consulants/service providers. Ensure the IT organizational
structure is appropriate for supporting AeroControlex current and
future business needs.

- Be the critical voice among and participate actively with the
Production and Operations team in addition to Senior Management,
driving cross-functional collaboration through the IT team.

PLANNING

- Lead and coordinate development of our infrastructure to ensure key
business strategies and processes are supported by systems that
enable growth and flexibility.

- Oversee analysis and evaluation of staffing & consulting
requirements to fulfill business requirements including directing
the evaluation of make vs. buy decisions as they relate to
outsourcing vs. in-house provisioning and identifying and developing
strategic partnerships with key IT suppliers, licenses and
contracts, vendors and consultant organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and manage the IT team and applicable vendors to ensure
availability of necessary application systems to support business
and operational needs. Serving as the leader and resource for the IT
department regarding problems, issues, questions and/or other topics
that current staff is unable to address / resolve.

- End User support to ensure the IT infrastructure is successfully
exploited to achieve continuous improvement and competitive
advantage by identifying user needs. Develop and provide appropriate
support and training for all users to ensure those needs are met or
exceeded.

- Maintain system availability & uptime by deploying best practices on
an ongoing basis and address critical issues in a timely manner
(system down, hardware failures, etc).

- Ensure secure environment and compliance w/aerospace and defense
standards by enforcing IT policies, procedures and systems to ensure
consistency in standards and leveraging of common systems. Protect
the company and its operations against IT risks, including
unauthorized access to information, data integrity problems, loss of
processing capability, and poor service levels. (e.g. NIST, CMMC)

- Vendor and Project Management by leading and coordinating the
selection, installation, operation, support and maintenance of our
information technology infrastructure (i.e. operating systems,
networks, telecommunications, hardware, and peripherals).

- IT audit are performed on a regular basis. The IT Manager executes
and manages annual internal and external IT audits performed in
collaboration with external and internal auditors.

- IT governance is paramount. Ensure compliance with corporate IT
policies and procedures and participate in the monthly IT corporate
calls to stay connected to our goals & objectives.

- Continuous process improvement of our systems and organization.
Providing recommendations / suggestions based upon personal
experience or via research of best practices not vendor/consultant
driven.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • 4-year college degreeor an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of IT Management experience in amanufacturing environment highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of total IT experience including computer operations management, multiple roles in systems implementation, supervision of technical personnel, security/compliance, business-wide strategic planning and budgetary responsibility.
  • Well-rounded business background with a broad understanding of engineering, production, and financials; is a plus.

Technical Skills / Technical Environment:

  • ERP systems in a manufacturing environment (Epicor is a plus)
  • Experience with security controls & frameworks (SOX, NIST, CMMC, DFARS, ITAR)
  • Security (EDR/XDR / SIEM / Patch Management) Server and Workstation
  • Exchange/O365
  • Security Awareness & Training programs
  • SolidWorks
  • Modern backup solutions
  • VMware/HyperV
  • Knowledge of Firewalls / Routers / Switches.
  • Network protocols and technologies
