Immediate job opening for a Group Leader (Process Design & Development) for a multi-billion dollar 100+ year old global diversified manufacturer of specialty products. Select Responsibilities
Develop and apply knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, including Heat Treatment, Hard Turning, Grinding, Super finishing, and Assembly
Offer technical and strategic recommendations for manufacturing solutions across the global business.
Provide technical leadership, support, and problem-solving through process development, process modeling, and data analysis, including capability study analysis.
Lead and support capital investment efforts, including project management, specification/selection of new assets, compliance with purchase requirements, implementation at plant sites, and delivery of comprehensive process technology packages.
Develop Appropriation Requisitions (ARs), including basic business case analysis, cost tracking, and forecasting of spending, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time.
Utilize effective project management skills for key projects, including project and resource planning, and implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure timely completion.
Collaborate with Design/Application Engineers to develop cost-effective manufacturing recommendations and solutions, and work with Supply Chain teams to access outsourcing capabilities and lead supplier technical development.
Create manufacturing plant implementation plans for newly developed bearing manufacturing processes, collaborating with Advance Process Technology Teams at the Technology Center as needed.
Foster a team-oriented workforce by creating an environment conducive to collaboration, providing coaching, training, and promoting team operating practices.
Coach individuals to achieve personal goals and support their career growth, offering opportunities for increased scope and responsibility.
Generate weekly reports on performance measures and actual progress towards business plan goals, and provide periodic updates to management on the achievement of business plans.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required (Manufacturing, Engineering, or related)
Strong data analysis skills with statistical knowledge, process modeling, and proficient computer skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills in managing equipment/process implementation projects, preferably with a global project team.
Basic financial analysis capabilities.
Project management proficiency with excellent communication skills and the ability to drive timely project completion.
Proficient knowledge of heat treat, finishing (e.g., grind, super finishing, hard turning), and assembly processes for bearings.
Fundamental understanding of the global business strategy.
Training and experience in Lean Manufacturing and 6-sigma problem solving methodologies.
Efficiently manage project budgets and closely monitor spending.
