Millwright - Night Shift - KW area

Job description:

*NIGHT SHIFT - 11:00pm to 7:30am

*Providesupport in troubleshooting / repairs and system improvements (optimization) to ensure quality and efficiency

* Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; identify replacement parts

* Assist on-site contractors as required

* Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on all equipment as required

* Document and maintain details of inspections

* Participate in ongoing cross-training, multi-skilling activities within the organization

* Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results

* Ensure that all operator safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations

* Know and understand process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to this job function

* Install, align, dismantle and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools

* Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as forklifts, jacks and handling equipment to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, repair of machinery

* Operate machine tools such as grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery

* Rebuild and/or overhaul machinery and equipment as required

Qualifications:

* Industrial Millwright (433A) certification - Inter Provincial / Red Seal OROntario

* Certificate of Millwright Apprenticeship an asset

* 5 yrs+ in an automated industrialproductionenvironment performing mechanical maintenance of plant equipment

* 2 yrs minimum experience in maintenance in a food processing environment

* Competent using SMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding processes

* Good knowledge of oral and written English and Mathematics

* Working knowledge of OHSA standards and regulations

* Any PLC troubleshooting or program editing experience an asset

* Good attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills

*Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills

*Able to work to deadlines and multi-task
