Sr. Director Operations (Food Manufacturing)

Central Ohio OR Central Kentucky

Our Client is hiring a Senior Director of Operations responsible for the strategic direction, coordination, and results for 4 of their 14 food manufacturing plants. You will be directly and indirectly supervising 1200+ people in a production/manufacturing or support departments. The Senior Director of Operations has direct leadership of the assigned manufacturing facilities with overall responsibilities for employee safety, quality/food safety, environmental, schedule attainment, raw material/package inventory, cost, and innovation.

This role will be responsible for driving value creation throughout the manufacturing organization and the supporting functions of Procurement, Finance, Quality and Safety. The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills in building effective operations teams establishing effective management practices and processes and coaching the team to greater levels of sophistication and performance.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years plant/general management experience in a food related manufacturing industry
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with SAP systems
  • Solid knowledge of food company operations; experience working with co-packers
  • Background in manufacturing methods, quality control, and process improvement programs
  • Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures
  • Solid understanding of OSHA, USDA, and Food Safety regulations
  • Ability to work with and lead a diverse workforce
  • Strong strategic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, both written and verbal
  • High-level of strategic thinking, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability
  • Strong interpersonal, technical and presentation skills
