Vice President Operation (required to have experience working in Japanese restaurants/joints)

Position Title : Vice President Operations
Position Level : Level V Front Operations
Reports to : Senior Management
Consult with : Operations Team
Position Purpose

To be accountable for results and performance of Operations through development of strategies, policies, and concepts in line, Vision and Core Values (MVCV) and to provide leadership to assigned restaurants so as to improve operation profitability
Restaurant Operations
Provide guidance to improve SOP for restaurant operations based on general guideline and policies developed at the HQ level, brand image and overall offering of the concepts
Develop strategies and policies in line with MVCV to strength restaurant operations

Provide guidance and coaching to restaurant team in maintaining and improving restaurant operations
Restaurant Management & Planning
Build partnership with other functions to promote synergy and gain a better understanding of interdependence amongst functions
Executing mid-to-long term manpower planning to ensure adequate resources through forecast of demand fluctuation, holiday planning, employee movement and attrition and staff rotation within and across concepts to prepare longer term plans such as scheduling, hiring plans, etc
Establish standards, SOPs and guidelines in accordance to accompany and concepts branding to be used across concepts
Review and approve SOP training requirement

Business Development
Lead in the conduct of feasibility study

Set guideline for and participate in evaluation of newly developed concepts and/or potential sites and to come up with sales projection and budget planning
Advise and partner VP Area in operational dealing with landlord
Quality Assurance & Control
Keep up-to-date with changes of safety regulations as stipulated by relevant agencies and update operating procedures to ensure adherence to health and safety standards

People Management
Carry out performance management activities such as concept performance appraisals, skill gap analysis and training plan
Set role rotation, training & development and other people management guidelines

Manage issues and concerns by understanding and anticipating overall needs of members in operations and balancing them with the needs of the business
