Director of Operations (Food Manufacturing Required)

This leader can be physically located in the Northeast, South or Midwest with frequent travel to six manufacturing locations.
This Director is responsible for the strategic direction, coordination, and results of multiple plant locations. This role has significant impact on the volume and profitability of the business, leading operations of significant size, scope, and complexity. He/She will have overall responsibilities for employee safety, quality/food safety, environmental, schedule attainment, raw material/package inventory, cost, and innovation. This will require proven leadership skills in building effective teams, establishing effective management practices/processes, and coaching the teams to greater sophistication and performance.
This role will be responsible for driving value creation throughout the manufacturing organization and the supporting functions of Procurement, Finance, Quality and Safety. The Director will continue to deploy Lean practices across the plant system, improving safety, service, capacity, and total cost performance. He/She will ensure their teams are aligned, engaged in, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

- 8-10 years plant/general management experience in a food related manufacturing environment
- Bachelors degree
- Food manufacturing knowledge, with a preference in dough and/or pasta products with an understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations
- Background in manufacturing methods, quality control and process improvement
- Understanding of OSHA, USDA, Food Safety and Food Preservation
