- International Transportation, Logistics & Analytics:
- Plan, organize, and implement activities required for the shipment of international goods.
- Analyzes, validates, and develops optimal logistics and international shipping solutions.
- Responsible for processing import shipments, including proper container, mode, and lane, required import document creation, and submission and shipment classification.
- Oversee execution of booking of ocean vessels with carrier to ensure compliance and schedule.
- Comply with and maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable shipping rules, international import/export regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Leads analysis in developing and presenting statistical information to track cost & metric trends.
- Develops or maintains tools used to quantify project costs and prepares statistical data for contract negotiations.
- Finished Goods Sourcing / Strategic Alliances:
- Identify and recommend suppliers by investigating potential qualified bidders, researching markets, and services available.
- Support the negotiation of pricing, terms, contracts and/or supply agreements for the Companys finished goods.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic sourcing strategies for Co-Manufactured products that provide the best value at the lowest total cost of ownership.
- Own and manage detailed and comprehensive supplier agreements that address all relevant areas of performance delivery.
- Manage quality control of imported products in cooperation with Quality and Supply Chain partners.
- Identify and implement cost savings opportunities through negotiations, alternate sources, product reformulations, cost containment strategies and other techniques as applicable.
- In coordination with Corporate QC, develop and maintain packing and product specifications for assigned products and communicate audit specifications with suppliers.
- Present new products, innovation, and vendor capability to Marketing Group as part of on-going innovation strategy. Work closely with Marketing on product changes, issues, and rollouts
- Raw Product Procurement:
- Assist in developing and executing the Companys raw product procurement strategy.
- Plan, organize, and implement foreign raw product purchasing actions which will ensure material in support of company objectives.
- Support the development of short and long-term planning for cost reduction, buying and negotiating, source selection, and development of the foreign raw product sourcing program.
- Keep informed of all international laws and regulations affecting purchases and delivery of raw product.
- Act as a secondary company representative in the international marketplace, working with growers, co-ops, groups, trade, and professional associations inside and outside of the U.S.
- Prepare and deliver informational presentations to growers/supplier organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of experience in international transportation & logistics or finished goods sourcing within the CPG or commodity agriculture industries.
- Strategic thinker with a proven track record of operational excellence within supply chain management, demand planning, and inventory handling
- Experience managing all aspects of import supply chain from inception of contracts through to final product distribution.
- Specific experience working with both ocean freight and inland freight services.
- Direct experience with import logistics cost drivers for a food manufacturer
- Strong bilingual oral and written communication skills (English/Spanish)
- Highly skilled and proficient with Microsoft Office Products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Supply, the Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and qualifying strategic sources of Co-Manufactured goods and/or Strategic Alliances in finished goods form, bulk, or semi-finished state, including bid preparation, negotiation, and project management. Also responsible for identifying, developing, and managing import logistics, finished goods supply requirements, and international raw product procurement needs to meet quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost metrics. Position performs all vital functions in a manner that is technically innovative, economically successful, and strategically oriented.
