Quality Compliance Auditing Supervisor

The Quality Compliance Auditing Supervisor is responsible for Quality Compliance of incoming raw materials. The focus of your role will be in monitoring incoming products for quality standards to include third party auditing. Your ability to interact with internal and external customers to promote food safety initiatives will be key to your success. This is a high visibility role with numerous career advancement opportunities afforded to the proven performer. Position reports the Quality Manager.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Functions as a Quality professional to insure a work environment committed to sustainable safety by maintaining Food Safety standards for Food materials.
Support the organizations Food Safety Program and ensure that the program is effectively implemented in each of our operations.
Audits and monitors 3rd party suppliers for Quality standard in accordance with the safety initiatives set forth by the Corporate Quality department.
Assists in communication with Process Authorities and drives the correct implementation and response deviations in the scheduled processes.
Assists with Crisis Management and assures Business Continuity Management and training.
Provides role model to other professionals to assure associate training plans and qualifications are maintained.
Provide consulting and leadership in situations where deviations have occurred or a potential risk has been identified related to food safety and/or quality attributes.
Participate in projects as assigned (new product lines, continuous improvement efforts)
Responsible for continuous education opportunities focused on FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act).
Drives awareness of new and emerging threats to food safety.
Leads risk assessment activities for new materials and products in the facility to ensure compliance with relevant food safety requirements.
Supports the development and implementation of new Food Safety Plans for innovated and renovated products.
Actively participates in validation activities including but not limited to IQ/OQ/PQ of both product and process.
All other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:


Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Microbiology or related field with >3 years experience is required; consideration will be given to equivalent experience.
Open to up to 30% travel
GMP and Food Manufacturing experience required with strong knowledge of low and high acid aseptic and thermal processing experience.
Food Microbiology experience
HACCP, PCQI Certification
Excellent attention to detail
Strong auditing skills
Familiar with FSMA requirements
Previous leadership experience
Process improvement skills (e.g. Six Sigma)
Proficient command of English and strong communication skills required both verbal and written.
Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
Must have the ability to perform under pressure and communicate well with all departments
Must have good computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
