Occupational therapist helps patient(s) accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic activities by administering manual physical exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities as well as in applying assistive and supportive quality care. OT will assess and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation by physician(s). OT will document patient care services by charting in patient and department records in compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Your duties will include
- Assumes responsibility for clinical competency and professional development
- Performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops a Plan of Care
- Implements the Plan of Care
- Completes effective, professional and timely documentation
- Educates patients, families, caregivers and team members
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
Candidates must possess Texas state licensure
1 year of home health experienceas an occupational therapist
Candidates must possess strong caringinterpersonal skills
