Contract-to-Hire Position |Remote (working Eastern Time (EST) zone hours) | Must currently live in the US
Our client has an immediate need for aCloud Automation Lead. The role
is fully remote, working East Coast hours, and will have the possibility
of a contract to hire. This is an addition to staff position to provide
operational support to the Cloud Automation team.
In this role, you will participate andtake the lead in assigned
projects. You will manage relationships with MSP personnel and
third-party resources. assign tasks to operational resources, interfaces
with MSP leads, third-party, and operation resources to manage
operational outcomes, escalating service delivery problems with the
provider.
Responsibilities will include:
- Execute and complete assigned technology projects on time, focusing
on AWS, Azure, and IaC implementations
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity while
reducing toil
- Manage relationships with global sourcing provider tower leads,
ensuring their expertise in AWS, Azure, and IaC practices
- Set priorities and goals for the global sourcing provider related to
cloud operations and IaC adoption
- Provide constructive feedback to team members regarding cloud
operations and IaC best practices
- Develop, define, and create best practices processes for
Infrastructure technologies in AWS and Azure environments
- Participate in a regular on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support
for AWS, Azure, and IaC-related issues
- Drives troubleshooting calls to resolution and provides root-cause
analysis
- Works with all IT teams to develop solutions and provide technical
domain expertise in AWS, Azure, and IaC methodologies
- Designs and administers security practices in AWS and Azure to meet
various regulatory and policy requirements
- Resolve customer incidents and problems rapidly, with a focus on
cloud-specific issues
- Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts related to AWS, Azure, and IaC
implementations
- Coordinate & participate in service/support needs with vendors,
technical support, application support, and infrastructure support
for AWS, Azure, and Automation
- Follow best practices for supported technology in AWS, Azure, and
IaC implementations
- Test and deploy security patches to identity systems in AWS and
Azure environments to help maintain PCI, SOX, and other regulatory
compliance requirements
- Develop documentation and train Level I and Level II technicians on
AWS, Azure, and IaC best practices
- Review ticket and queue performance with the MSP provider and
management
- Designs and administers security practices in AWS and Azure to meet
various regulatory and policy requirements
- FinOps, understands cost-optimization, and efficiency and routinely
performs cost-savings exercises.
- Ensure global sourcing provider works to resolve customer incidents
and problems rapidly, with a focus on AWS, Azure, and IaC-related
issues
- Manage documentation, inventories, and related service contracts
- Build relationships with the MVW AWS Enterprise & Azure support
teams
- Work with tower leads and oversee performance to ensure all services
are optimally structured to provide defined service levels

Experience:
- 5+ years of work experience in operation roles
- 5+ years of work experience in technical troubleshooting
- 3+ years of work experience in AWS and Azure environments, including day-to-day operations and management
- 2+ years' work experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Experience resolving customer incidents and problems rapidly, with a focus on cloud-specific issues
- Comprehensive understanding of Tagging within AWS and Azure, specifically to enforce enterprise standards, security, and or policy requirements
- Prefer certifications in AWS, Azure, Terraform, and/or Ansible
