About the role
The Systems Engineer position is focused on providing Level 3 technical support to our clients and participating in IT infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of IP networking, experience with HP switches, deploying, supporting and troubleshooting Palo Alto/Fortigate firewalls, practical knowledge of NBN and wireless technologies, and be responsible for build, configuring, troubleshooting Azure VPN gateways and networks. Cloud/Server/Virtualization/Security Experience Solid experience with MS Azure cloud technologies, including VMs & Networking, sizing and pricing and Azure Services such as AAD, AADDS, Backup, Recovery Services, SQL Server, SQL DB services and Intune. Must have good time management and organizational skills, be punctual and reliable. A high level of customer service skills is essential, with an ability to relate to people at all levels. Knowledge of virtualization, including VMware and Hyper-V.
Skills & experience
The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience in IT Support/Systems Administration in a commercial environment. Essential skills required are a solid understanding of IP networking and experience with deploying, supporting and troubleshooting Palo Alto/Fortigate firewalls. Practical knowledge of NBN and wireless technologies and experience in build, configuring, and troubleshooting Azure VPN gateways and networks.
