Project Manager - Supply Chain - Transformation

Position Overview

Project Manager for Transformation will be a key member of Clients Business Transformation Office (BTO). The role will be responsible for managing and ensuring the successful implementation of a range of strategic transformation initiatives in supply chain, including:

  • Regional and/or national network optimization projects which may include facility consolidations, investment analysis for new facilities and the transfer of work between facilities.
  • Implementation of critical technology initiatives within the Core Technology Platform e.g. transportation optimization.
  • 25% Travel Required.

Note:This is a REMOTE position with travel required based on business needs.

Responsibilities Include:

Enable / Drive

  • Manage cross-functional and strategic functional projects within established scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Create and drive project plans and schedules to achieve the business outcome.
  • Maintain project schedules, delegating tasks, identifying dependencies, and driving awareness and crisp execution against major due dates.
  • Lead, coordinate, facilitate, and motivate all associated project resources to gain alignment on project goals and deliverables including project risk assessment and contingency planning to assure successful project completion.
  • Facilitate and lead effective project meetings and develop resource planning estimates to manage project workload and productivity.
  • Act as a peer resource for project management team members to ensure success of projects while maintaining customer service focus.
  • Provides dedicated support for transformation programs or projects by facilitating business case and timeline development, managing progress to milestones, refining business case assumptions as necessary and providing updates to stakeholders (e.g. Steer Co as necessary).


  • Effectively lead project teams while building positive professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Partners with project leads to define project objectives, requirements, and assumptions necessary to structure a project or activity.
  • Partners with business teams to actively manage leading indicators - challenging assumptions and proactively highlighting impact on customers, organization, and other projects.

Track / Communicate

  • Plan, schedule, and control project activities to fulfill objectives and satisfy project requirements.
  • Develop and document high-level strategies for accomplishing specific project objectives.
  • Communicates verbally and in writing with various audiences, including executive management.
  • Develop analytical frameworks to communicate progress aligned to companys strategy. Enabling effective communication with executive leadership, functional stakeholders and across the company.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of relevant and successful project management experience in a high-change environment, along with 5-7 years of business experience.
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle phases, project management tools and experience managing multiple projects to deadlines, holding others accountable, and maintaining project plans with dependent efforts and major milestones, scorecards and KPIs.
  • Thorough understanding of business processes, in one or more of the following functional areas finance, supply chain, operations and human resource.
  • Knowledge of roadmap tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong decision-making ability.
  • Highly organized, exceptional time management and task prioritization abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software & tools Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to play the role of an effective change agent.
  • Analytical thinker with an aptitude for linking the why and the what.
