Litigation Lawyer

Job description:

Our client is a highly regarded law firm that provides expert legal advice in the areas of strata title and property law, commercial and construction disputes, and the recovery of debts.
A new opportunity has arisen for a lawyer to join the property litigation practice to work across strata title disputes and advice work.

Working across a diverse range of clients and matters, your duties will include:
Drafting letters of advice about disputes or potential disputes; Attending meetings with clients; Drafting claims and defences to claims; Drafting affidavits; Drafting submissions and statements of agreed facts and issues; Drafting briefs to experts; Drafting briefs to counsel; Conferring with counsel; Attendance at directions hearing and hearings (with or without counsel); Carriage of own matters (under supervision and guidance of a Partner who is an accredited specialist in commercial litigation); Candidate:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years PAE gained within a similar role gained from a reputable private practice, with litigation experience and the ability to run litigation matters. You will have excellent communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
