Job description:

This position is for an international manufacturer of high end bottles sold primarily to the alcoholic beverages manufacturers. It is part of the Procurement Department.

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all glass purchased products meet the companys specifications. They will work with our leaders to understand the organization needs and ensure supply goals are achieved in a timely manner.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Purchase Orders:

Controls the accuracy and conformity of the Sales Orders (control of order approval status, prepayment status (if applicable), quantity, delivery dates, references, pricing,...).

Prepares and issues purchase orders and agreements in collaboration with the Account

Coordinators;

Maintains and updates transit time documents from door-to-door;

Performs goods receipt and goods issue as needed

Fast Movers:

Helps with the sale and promotion of the Fast Movers by carefully and accurately replenishing the inventory levels of each item per warehouse based on sales and forecasts;

Effectively communicates customer demands with Sales and Customer Service teams;

Historical Orders:

Authorized to replenish inventory without a confirmed sales order based on Sales and/or AC requests and through a precise sales history analysis;

Inventory Management:

Will participate in analysis of Inventory Management information and accuracy within SAP

In collaboration with the Inventory Management team, will analyze and make recommendations on slow movers report per warehouse from SAP;

Will occasionally participate in the aging inventory analysis and make recommendations;

Will occasionally request Quality Audits

Material Master:

Create and maintain Material Master data as needed

Create and maintain BOM (Bill of Material) as needed

Maintain glass spec repository as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role;
  • BA in Business Administration, supply chain management or similar field preferred
  • Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
  • Previoussoftware knowledge a plus: SAP, ERP, Google Suite
