Report to

Global Head of VM and Store Planning

Job Summary

Support in worldwide retail network expansion (boutiques and shop-in-shops construction)

Responsibilities

Project Planning:

  • Liaise with the landlord to obtain all information/drawings necessary to the project; and identify if any construction permit/government submission is required.
  • Organize site surveys and ensure design feasibility.
  • Define project milestones & key dates.
  • Award the necessary consultants (M&E, security)
  • Organize sample boards for Tender Phase and landlord submission.

Call for Tenders:

  • Manage, Review and organize the tender drawings with draftsmen team.
  • Manage, Review and organize the Schedule of Rate (SOR) with quantity survey team.
  • Manage & Review the Terms & Conditions Contract (T&C) with quantity survey team.
  • Lead the call for tenders, RFIs and be responsible for contractor's award.
  • Define the construction budget / CAPEX and monitor it throughout the construction.

Long-Lead Items Orders

  • Order supplied items (showcases, FF&E, safe, carpets), E-inspect the goods, and be responsible for coordinating their shipment to site.
  • Ensure the contractors have ordered their own long-lead items.
  • Manage, Review and organize the construction schedule according to the long-lead items ready date.
  • Ad-Hoc: Develop new furniture/finishes when required for the project.

Construction Management:

  • Manage, Review and organize the development & inspection of the mock-ups.
  • Be responsible for shop drawings review and ensure initial design is always respected.
  • Be on top of the main contractor on a daily basis and guide him to reach company's excellence.
  • Answer contractors RFIs & solve technical issues.
  • Be attentive to the functionality of the store and the lighting design.
  • Inspect the faade & furniture productions in factory.
  • Obtain the necessary certificates required for the store opening.
  • Organize construction pre-handover and ensure a punch list is issued shortly after.
  • Organize construction handover and ensure the punch list has been fully rectified.
  • Ensure VM, flowers, perfumes are all in place prior to the opening + organize store photography.

Maintenance:

  • Organize store repairs/renovation upon facilities incident (e.g.: water leakage)

Qualifications:

  • BA degree in architectural, engineering, or design.
  • 5 to 10 years international working experience in high-endluxury retail, or construction.
  • Able to handle building works from bid to handover.
  • Able to review/understand design & construction drawings.
  • Excellent skills in AutoCAD.
  • Like working in a family business environment, with smaller structure but where the individual matters.
  • Flexible.
  • A leader capable to challenge the contractors.
  • Strong sense of priorities and organization.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Acute sense for quality & results oriented.
  • Problem solver and hands on.
  • Deadline-driven and dedicated to excellence with a can-do- spirit.
  • English (writing, speaking), and Mandarin (writing, speaking)
